There is something special about fall and this time of year. The weather begins to cool down and the holiday traditions come to life. This year we have created together as a family a fall bucket list with all of our favorite traditions on it. It is a fun way to challenge us to embrace the season to the fullest. One of the activities on our fall bucket list this year is to decorate our front porch together for Halloween.
My family loves any excuse to decorate, but they get especially excited for Halloween because it allows them to be creative. I love nothing more than helping them bring their decoration ideas to life. Growing up the holidays were my favorite time of the year and were I created some of my most fawn memories. Now that I am a mom, I am even more grateful to share these special moments with my kids.
Decorating our front porch feels like we are bringing fall to life! We decorated the porch with some mums that truly give it that fresh and natural fall feeling, and also ordered some bats and spiders to hand on the wall. You could probably guess who’s idea that was! This year we decided to add an extra special decoration. We got a life size skeleton! Yes you heard that right! It brings in the perfect amount of Halloween without making the decorations too spooky. We are obsessed with how amazing this skeleton turned out. It was the perfect addition to our front door, and I loved that he is bendable and easy to pose. The kids named him Billy from the guy on Hocus Pocus!
We had the best time decorating our front porch together, and are already brainstorming for next year! I have linked all of the items that we used to decorate with this year down below. I can’t wait to see all of the ways that you and your families decorate for the holidays!
