This is such an easy but yummy breakfast recipe! We eat this a lot, but it has become our go-to for Christmas morning because it is so good and also looks pretty. One loaf equals eight servings, but I usually make two loaves for our family of eight.
You only need three ingredients per loaf:
- 1 can of crescent rolls
- 1 pound of ground sausage
- shredded cheese
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray baking sheet with cooking spray and roll crescent rolls out keeping them in one big sheet instead of separating them. Brown sausage in skillet and drain. While sausage is draining, cut 1 1/2- 2 inch long slits in sides of rolled out crescent loaf spacing them about 2 inches apart. Pour browned sausage down the middle of the crescent dough and top with shredded cheese. Fold the slits of crescent roll dough to the middle of the sausage overlapping them to make a loaf. Bake in oven according to crescent roll directions on can (bake 9-12 minutes until golden brown).
You can do other variations of this recipe too- we have used scrambled eggs along with the sausage and cheese, scrambled eggs and cheese, cream cheese and pie filling, to name a few. There isn’t much that doesn’t taste good with crescent rolls!
Make sure to try this recipe and let me know what you think in the comments!
Much love,

Recipe sounds sooo good! I think your mom made a version with sausage and cream cheese one year at the beach… it was amazing!

Yes!!! We love the sweet one too! If you add the cream cheese it reminds me of a danish or a pastry. SO GOOD!!!
