Hayesy-Daisy… I can’t believe you are two! You have changed the dynamic of our family in so many ways. Even the way you came into this world was unlike any of your other siblings so I think it’s pretty safe to say you have had me on my toes since the day you were born (or NOT really because you were my only C-section).
I lovingly call you our Boss Baby. You have the biggest opinions and the strongest will, but it is truly one of the things I love most about you. You have taught me so much in your two short years, but most of all you have shown me a perfect picture of trust. Trusting in God’s plan. When I look back on my pregnancy with you, it was trickled with hard parts- more so than easy ones, but through all of that, we have you- this amazing little boy that is in no way a representation of those hard parts. Instead, you are the most joyful little person I have ever been around and not just to me, but to others around you. You make me laugh every single day! You have the best manners in the world and to hear you say “Please,” “Thank you,” and “You’re welcome” melts my heart on so many levels.
Your little curls, your big brown eyes, your one little dimple, your chubby cheeks and hands and feet, the way you still suck your thumb. I never want to forget one little bit of it. I love you more than words can say, and I love the little person you are becoming. I know the things that you will do one day will be so big and amazing… just like you.
