You guys know we LOVE the holidays… maybe none hold a candle to the way I feel about Christmas, but we still love them all! I want my kids to have amazing memories and traditions to carry on as they grow up and have their own families one day. Valentine’s Day is a holiday I never really celebrated well until I had kids. I fell into that camp of “well why can’t you just celebrate love ALL the time and not just on a certain day?” While I do kinda think this is true, I do love the fun and excitement that holidays add to life and especially a kid’s life!
Last year was our first year to do a Valentine’s Day charcuterie board, and the kids loved it so here we are for year 2. I also have some other Valentine’s Day themed recipes: Valentine’s Day Breakfast and Valentine’s Day Trail Mix.
Ok so back to charcuterie boards- I know it’s a lot of sugar, but we don’t eat the WHOLE thing at once. It’s super easy to put each leftover item in ziplocs and even leave in their “spot” on the board and set it up again when you’re ready. I also always try to throw in some fruit so at least there is a healthier option there too. A board set up is also really cute for class parties or get-togethers!
I’m going to include some pics of ours from last year as well as this year so you can get some good ideas! I’m sure it will be a hit with your kiddos as well.
