It’s that time of year where we are all gearing up for parties, events, performances and ballets, and all the things where we want to look our best! I call it the “Holiday Glam” look, and even though it’s not the norm- I absolutely love the times I get to pull it off! It’s not everyday we feel like we can wear a red lip (unless you’re Taylor Swift) or sparkly eyelids as moms. So- I have rounded up some of my favorite products and my go-tos for when I am going for my all-out “Holiday Glam” look so I could share them with you!
I don’t use foundation really so for me a good tinted moisturizer is where I start, and I love Glow Screen because it has some shimmer! I add concealer to any areas I need more coverage. I have started mixing the Drunk Elephant drops into my Glow Screen for a sheer tan look. I have tried self tanners on my face, and it’s just not for me so I love this temporary option! I use the Charlotte Tilbury Contour Wand along with the Rare Beauty Liquid Luminizer in Enlighten to contour with. This gives that creamy sheen look that I get asked about all of the time!
I like to have a barely flushed look on my cheeks so I go with the Rare Beauty liquid blush in the shade Hope. If I am wanting a little more sheen on my cheeks and forehead, I will use the Rare Beauty highlighter in Exhilirate and apply it with a fan brush and just barely brush my cheeks, bridge of nose, and forehead with it. It gives a really pretty golden shimmer.
When it comes to my eyes, this is where I like to draw the most attention. I like to use the Natural Eyes palette if I’m going with a smokey eye. It has all the most perfect neutrals. I will even use my Stila liquid eyeshadow over this for a shimmer effect. If I am going with gold I like the Morphe 2 palette. It has the prettiest golden eyeshadow. For liner, I love the L’Oreal Paris Flash Cat eyeliner. It has a stencil to help your winged look be perfect! My all time fav mascara is the L’Oreal in Carbon Black. I use it on both sides of my lashes for a fuller look.
For my brows, I love the Anastasia pencil paired with the Dominique pencil. The Dominique one gives brush strokes while the Anastasia is more for filling in for me. I finish with either the Gimme Brow or the Kosas Air Brow brush gel so my brows stay in place and look fuller.
When I’m going glam, I am either doing a nude lip look or a red lip most likely. For the nude look, I use the NYX liner in shade Truffle and top with Fente gloss in FU$$Y. For a good red lip, I usually don’t even line it I just use Chanel Independante and apply a few coats, and I’m good to go!
I use the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray and then take along the Fente Beauty Invisimatte Blotting powder for in case I get too shiny in some areas! I hope this gives you some ideas on your Holiday Glam makeup!! Can’t wait to get some events on my calendar so I can get all glammed up myself!
