It’s been a while since we have done a family/life update. I sometimes feel like I’m spinning plates and juggling so many things as a busy mom, but I know a lot of you feel this too! At the end of the day, it somehow all gets done or in my case, if it’s laundry then a lot of times it doesn’t hahahahaha. But- let’s get right to it.
A lot of you know that we have been a homeschool family for five years all the way up until last August. Each of our kids started school and have been thriving, which has given me more time to focus on my brand. Speaking of my brand- have some exciting things happening with VIE that I will be sharing later on this week so stay tuned for that!
Our kiddos have been loving school so so much! Hayes said the other day, “Mom, do you know what my favorite thing about school is?” I said, “No, what is it?” His response was “that I get to go.” It was so sweet. They go Monday through Thursday from 9-2 so it has been a really good fit for still allowing us some good family time together.
The kids have also slowly figuring out their own passions and interests. Olivia has been taking ballet classes for the last two and a half years, and it’s been really cool to watch her grow and be dedicated to something she loves so much. She has been to a few competitions in the last few weeks. Our next stop is ADCIBC (The American Dance Competition International Ballet Competition) finals in St. Petersburg, Florida. She is working hard to prepare, and we are so excited for her! Charlie has started playing “Academy” aka travel soccer. We are so proud of him. He has been training to play some in the goal as well! Hayes plays Little Kickers soccer a few days a week and does really well. It’s a lot of fun watching him because he’s improving more and more each day. Vivi has been going to Pre-Ballet classes at the same studio as Olivia and loves every minute of it. She just “auditioned” for her first show, which will be Swan Lake in May. They were so cute at auditions last weekend. Olivia put Vivi at the same bar as her and truly let her have her “moment.” It was so precious to watch. Hudson is in college and doing really well! He is on the Pre-Med track. He came home last weekend, and it made us all so happy!!! It’s so nice to have him around. We miss him so much, but he’s thriving in his third year of college, but his first year of truly being away from home.
Farm life is still rolling along! We are working on putting up fence and expanding our area for the horses, Penny and Molly. We have several expecting mama pigs. Our kids have been selling eggs to make some side money. Olivia is saving hers to help pay for a ballet trip this summer haha.
I hope you guys enjoyed our little life update! Let me know if this is something you want me to do more often!
