It is no secret that we love the holidays around here! This my family and I’s favorite time of the year because of all of the family time that comes along with it. Each year we have a holiday bucket list that we follow so that we are able to accomplish all of the fun and festive activities as a family. This year we have revamped our family bucket list and it is adorable! I have created a printable holiday bucket list for you so that you and your family can make this holiday season extra special right along with us! Check out the printable holiday bucket list here!

Advent Calendar
This year we are starting a new tradition of doing an advent for the entire month of December! It is such a fun and easy way to add some extra excitement during the holiday season. We did our first opening yesterday since it marked the beginning of the month and my kids absolutely loved getting to reveal what Christmas-related activity they were going to get to do that day. This left them even more excited for the days to come! The advent calendar comes in both small and large sizes and you can get yours here!

Building Gingerbread Houses
Decorating gingerbread houses has been a tradition of ours for years now, and one that we truly love! Each year we get two gingerbread houses and split up into boys and girls and see who can create the best gingerbread house! We have had to create some boundaries such as only using things that are edible because someone (Brad) tried to use glue one year to make his house stay together. I can’t make this up! It has become a big competition in our home, and the kids absolutely love it! After completing our gingerbread houses I let my instagram followers vote on their favorite, and I am proud to say that the girls won this year!
Christmas Lights!
Each year we plan a light to go out into our community and enjoy looking at Christmas lights together! It is one of my favorite was to get into the holiday spirit! There is a family near us that covers their whole yard with Christmas lights and opens it up for the public to come enjoy and we love getting to walk around and look at all of the beautiful lights while drinking a delicious hot cocoa to warm us up!
This is one of the easiest ways to get out and enjoy some family time during the holiday season! We love getting to look at lights in person, but we enjoy driving around in our cars while blaring Christmas carols just as much! You will not regret the memories that come from just being together doing something as simple as looking at Christmas lights!
