This week’s fall recipe is one of Olivia’s favorite meals that I cook. This recipe is perfect for fall and when the temperatures begin to cool down. This recipe is warm and fluffy and so delicious that it has become a staple in our home.
I love this recipe for how easy it is to make and that it can feed so many people. The prep time is only about 10 minutes if you use a rotisserie chicken or previously boiled your chicken, and only bakes for about 35 minutes. This recipe would be perfect to make for the holidays to pack up and bring to parties or to family gatherings.
Instructions:
1.Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
2.Melt butter an pour into 9 x 13 pan
3.Shred the chicken and spread on top of butter
4.Whisk together milk, flour, baking powder, and Salt. Pour over chicken
5.Whisk together chicken broth and cream of chicken soup. Pour over the flour mixture. Do not stir.
6.Bake uncovered for 35-45 minutes
This chicken and dumpling casserole is a meal that I get asked to make often and a recipe that we will continue to use for years to come! I know that you are going to love this one as much as we do. Give it a try and let me know how much you and your family love it!
